When I think of a standard corporate website I think of a white background, a large image banner featuring standard stock photos, and plain text navigation links. However, I’ve found a few companies that have pushed the limits of standard corporate design and won big!

2010 Winter Olympics Medals
The 2010 Winter Olympic games officially open tomorrow night and Canadians are hungry for gold.
The Olympic medals, designed by Omar Arbel and Corrine Hunt, are stunning. The unique undulating surfaces are representative of the rolling landscape of the greater Vancouver area while the laser engraved west coast aboriginal artwork is a tribute to Canadian culture.
Big Rock Eddies Documentary
The Big Rock Eddies have been referred to as the redneck Oscars but this design competition has gained national recognition over the last 15 years . Last year I was interviewed for the documentary Eddies: The Documentary (clever!) for my one minute cartoon Triple XO surprise. Somewhere in the excitement of being in a professional documentary, and wanting to cover my own ass incase I said something stupid, I agreed to design the documentary packaging.
